What is wrong with the Grizzles?

Ok so the Grizzles have been to the play-offs I think twice in their history. Both times before they traded Pau Gasol, by the way that may be the dumbest trade in NBA history. They might make the play-offs this year, and I'm a avid Grizzles fan (If there is such a thing) I go to probably 3-5 games per year. I think it's was in 94 they were made in Vancouver, and only 2 maybe1 times in the play-offs? That's horrible. Why is this? I mean look at some teams such as the Cavs, Spurs, Thunder, Magic, Knicks that turned around really fast. Why hasn't this happened to the Grizz?
