How old do you have to be to get a Debit Card?

first,I am pretty sure it has to be a checking account only.Second,you have to be 18 if you want to sign up alone but you can get one right now if you let your mother co-sign for you.Third you can only use a atm card at the atm like to take out cash but a debit card you can use anywhere at stores online etc.Last you have to check the banks first because SOME will only give you a atm card which is stupid(it happened to me) so I just went to a credit union which doesn't have a lot of locations like big banks but they are good.(Their are some banks that let you have a debit card you just have to call or email and check)
