Do Americans hurt themselves with their Maverick Spirit?

Why are we being Pal-Cained? Why are we running from our own inadequacies and facing the reality that AMerica is not the King but a Bishop looking after the King (China) and Queen (Iraq). George W Bush, Jr was the true maverick when he invaded Iraq with inaccurate information, did not respond to Katrina because he did not see politically correct to go into a sea of refuges,etc....We have miss the bold altogether with our financial markets moving to Singapore, Tokyo and Dubai and our resources being sweep up by foreign governments.
