Permanent wrongful license revocation?

If you are wrongfully convicted and during the investigation, police suspend your license and when you are finally exonerated, is it possible to permanently lose your driver's, business, doctor's, etc. license due to an incredibly stupid (I consider any wrongful conviction case be it by so called "honest error" or intentionally enacted upon to do incredibly stupid) mistake by the police? Or alternatively, is it possible to have your license revoked to the point that after you are found to be innocent, the stupidity of law enforcers not doing their job right (I consider that whenever they arrest someone who will later be found to be innocent not doing their job properly because they made an error. That is, they didn't do everything legitimately since the wrong person got arrested.) will lead to this. That is, even after you are found to be innocent, due to some error in the investigation and charging process, your license is revoked even after you are found to be innocent.
